Gerard has been teaching at BAM for 10 years.  He is a former student of David Watson (founder BAM Burleigh Academy of Music) & a graduate of the QLD Conservatorium of Music where he majored in Jazz guitar, receiving a Bachelor of Music.

Gerard teaches a wide variety of styles – rock, blues, country, funk, jazz & classical. He focusses his lessons on development of the tools needed to showcase versatility as a player.

Gerard has also authored and published genre based books with accompanying CDs designed to enrich students’ learning experience and allow them to track their progress. These materials cover topics such as theory, style, music reading, and technique.

Gerard can also prepare students for AMEB & ANZCA exams & performance in local Eisteddfods.
